The Goal of Brush-A-Mania:
Create good oral hygiene habits to last a lifetime.

Good oral hygiene habits, when introduced to young children, will reduce health problems related to neglected oral hygiene and will foster a healthier lifestyle and eventually a higher quality of life.

Our History:

Hand in Hand NGO and the Members of Armenian Dentists Association of Canada (Toronto) and Rotary Club of Toronto expressed a wish to organize the Brush-a-mania project in NKR.

Brush-A-Mania is a global initiative. Having previous experience with Brush-A-Mania projects, Hand in Hand organizers found this project to be a perfect fit for NKR people. The Project is a day, a week, or a month devoted to oral hygiene, and is mainly conducted at schools and kindergartens.

The purpose of the Project is to teach the youngest generations proper oral hygiene habits. Beginning with teaching proper teeth cleaning technique and frequency, the project will work to create a culture of regular health maintenance; in the effort to create a stronger, healthier society.

The Brush-A-Mania project was launched in October of 2008, with the aid of government officials to bring attention to the project.  On the launch day, hygiene “goody bags” were handed out that included toothpaste, toothbrush & dental floss.

The Project plans to serve 20,000 people, mainly children.
