Events done in schools and kindergardens in the regions of Nagorno Karabakh.

Teaching Oral CareIn an effort to teach proper oral hygiene to the children in rural Armenia and continue education in this area, Hand in Hand brought an oral health program into the schools.

The goal was to get children at a young age to adopt a regimen of daily teeth brushing and teach the proper technique. In addition, having a program in the schools would enforce compliance to continued lifestyle change.

Hand in Hand NGO brought the program to 20 schools and 13 kindergartens of Nagorno Karabkh as well as in Stepanakert city including Martuni, Martakert, Hadrut, Shushi regions.  Initially, approximately 9300 children ages 3-16 were reached through the program.

  • Teach the concept of oral hygiene
  • Educate Parents
  • Educate Children
  • Provide regular screening in schools
